firmly believes that education apart from God, the creator of the universe and His Word, the Bible, is not a true education. The very core of HLLC’s Curriculum is the Bible. All discipline begins with the premise “Education is not the search of the truth, but searching in the truth”. John 17:17 clearly tells us that the Bible, God’s Word is the basis of all truth.
God’s Word authorizes parents as primary educators as shown by Deuteronomy 6 and Ephesians 6:4. In addition, the church has been designated to be the “Pillars of the Truth” (1 Timothy 3:15). The school is mandated to work closely with the local church. The home, the school and the church in combination is the most effective way to bring up the child in the “Fear of the Lord”, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).
